Our History
The H.D. Geisler Company, Inc. was founded in 1948 by Harold D. Geisler as a distributor of machine tools primarily for the automotive and appliance industries.
Geisler was one of the first companies in Dayton, Ohio to represent leading manufacturers of punches and dies, die makers supplies, and tooling components.
Interesting enough, Harold started out as a manufacturers’ representative for Dayton Die Insert Company, known today as Dayton Progress Corporation, one of our current suppliers. Dayton Progress now serves the stampings industry worldwide. The founder of Dayton Progress, Robert A. Gargrave helped Harold get started in the business which originated in a small garage and grew to what it is today.
